The Adelita Project sits within the Laramide-age porphyry copper belt that extends from Arizona through Sonora, hosting many of North America's largest copper mines. At Adelita, calcareous sedimentary rocks were intruded by mineralized felsic intrusives, producing garnet–pyroxene skarn assemblages carrying copper, silver and gold sulphides.
Surface expression includes strong iron-oxide staining, malachite, chalcocite and chalcopyrite along multi-metre skarn horizons. Historic underground workings expose sulphide mineralization at shallow depth, providing direct evidence of grade continuity.
Advanced exploration is designed to define the geometry and extent of the skarn system through mapping, geochemistry, geophysics and drilling.
